No velocity sensitivity with MIDI

Post by davidoregan140 »

Hi guys, I'm using a Nord Electro 4D as a midi controller with Ableton Live, connected via USB, but the velocity seems to be on full all the time. Is this a problem with settings in Live or is there something I'm not doing on the Nord? The Organ Model button seems to change the velocity from full to very quiet but I can't get proper velocity sensitivity from it at all.

I tried to change things in the MIDI menu on the Nord but nothing seems to work at all.

thanks in advance!

I'm using the E4D with Mainstage and notice that MIDI velocity is full when the E4D patch is organ. Switch it to velocity sensitive patch like piano and the MIDI out becomes variable velocity as expected.
