NE3 and EV5 not working

Postby magpie85 » 01 May 2019, 10:39

My EV5 appears to have stopped working with my NE3, just before my last church service (cue review of how I'm playing the whole set). My NE3 is set up in the menu settings for control pedal as EV5 and Organ swell + sample volume.

It appeared to cut the sample volume out completely and refused to work as a swell pedal for the organ, but did let me play the organ.

Any thoughts on why this might have happened?

Cheers

Have you checked the pedal is still OK (pot and cable), with a tester/multimeter?

My EV5 needed a new pot a while ago. The cable is also prone to damage. As above, I would check the pedal, e.g. plug it into the Control Pedal socket (if the electro has one), or use a multimeter, or similar.

Also check that the potentiometer on the left side of the pedal (grey knob) have not been turned.
