NE2 USB and WINDOWS 10 DOESN'T GO?

I can't connect an old NE2 with my PC with WINDOWS 10. I used this driver:

but it doesn't go.

I have a windows 10 32 bit configuration but I read "This USB driver is only compatible with 32-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8." and it doesn't talk about Windows 10.
Have I use another driver ?

No. You need to find a way to run an older Windows. There is no way to make the Electro 2 work directly with Windows 10.

Clavia is too small to update their software for old products forever, unfortunately.

It's a similar phenomenon as with many other keyboards: You need an ancient Mac (twenty years old) for the original Emulator management software, as well.

I just sold my NE2. There's still a pretty good market for them. While the new 5 has some great new capabilities, I do miss how simple and intuitive the user interface was on the 1 and 2.

The distortion on the NE2 is different from the newer ones, much more ringing.

I'm keeping my NE2 just for the distorted wah clavinet — the Stage 2 and newer electros just don't do that for me as much.

And while the dry Rhodes on the NE2 is rubbery s***, with distortion cranked up, it's beautifully brittle.

I don't know of any specific solution to make the NE2 able to connect via USB to Windows 10. And I did some google searches this morning, hoping to find something where someone else might have gotten this working, but I did not find anything.

But I had *thought* that the big change in Windows device driver architecture came with Windows Vista, and that this device driver model was carried forward into Windows 7 and 8. Does anyone know of anything specific in the Windows 10 device driver model which would make it likely that a device driver for Windows 7 or Windows 8 would not work under Windows 10?

Any operating system that will only run 64-bit drivers cannot load it.

The OP is running Win10 32bit so it must be something else.

Anyway, as a workaround, to avoid using another PC I would just run a WinXP on a VirtualBox (or similar) to solve the problem.

I'm a Mac user - it simply didn't register to me that Windows 10 might still actually be available in 32 bits...
