Music Stand Not so expansive

Hi everybody from nothern Germany, this ist how I got my Music Stand for my ne6hp: These days, Yamaha Music Stands are sold in the www, for about 15 Euro. I got me one , Made two Steel Bolts from a 5mm round Metal, flattend it on half of its lenkt, means 30 fromm 60mm and gave it a shrinking Tube Cover on its not flattend half. That fits well into both holes for a music stand. Look at the Pictures, they are far better than my english. For me it works well. So, If someone is interested, Look for Yamaha music Stands, and, look at the pricing...

I did something similar... first, I bought the ridiculously over-sized/priced music stand from Nord. I could not see the rest of the band with the music stand up. Feel free to omit this step : )

I had an old plastic music stand from a cheap (toy) keyboard. I cut 2 6" common nails to about 4" long and filed the sharp edges off the cut ends. On the music stand ledge where the music sits, I marked where the pins should push into the holes on the back of the Electro. I drilled under-sized pilot holes in the stand, then heated the nails with a blowtorch and pushed them thru the stand from the top.

It works perfectly... but I'll admit that this solution looks easier.

I liked your idea so made one for my Electro 6D 61. I found this translucent music sheet stand on Amazon. Here is the description. I like it because it is short and light weight:

Then I measured the exact spacing of the holes in the black plastic mounts on back of the E6D 61. I got a stick of hollow aluminum tube from hardware store, that has a thick wall, 6.35 mm OD. This is standard 1/4 inch in the states. Two rods were cut to be 93 mm long. These are too thick for the existing holes in the plastic mounts, but I preferred this thickness for rigidity and to prevent bending the legs accidentally during use. I removed the plastic mounts on the Nord and used a drill press to enlarge the vertical holes to clear this diameter, with slightly bigger drill bit, and drilled all the way to bottom space (but not through the bottom). This gives more rigidity to the music stand. Now it won't be usable with the Nord music stands (too sloppy) but I don't plan to ever need one. I flattened the end of the tubing with a large vise, and drilled two clearance holes for #4 machine screws. These same holes were marked on the two bent steep angle plates that are on the ATNEDCVH stand. I drilled smaller tapping holes in these plates and tapped a 4-40 screw thread. Four screws of adequate length attach the rods to the plates on the music stand.

The 93 mm long (3.6 inch) rods lift the music stand to clear the uppermost controls and allow me to see the nomenclature above the knobs. Since the stand is translucent, it doesn't leave a dark shadow there. I am very pleased with how it came out, looks like a factory supplied part, but much less expensive. It took about an hour of my time to make it plus about $3 for the aluminum tube.

You too, huh? It's built very well and quite large but yes, $130 for a piece of bent metal was a little much, even by Clavia's charge-the-moon standards.
