Midi fader in place of control pedal
Hi, does anyone know if there is a way of using a small midi fader (as screenshot) that could sit on the left side of the electro that could do the job of the control pedal, I'm rubbish with my feet but would like a way of fading in strings behind piano, similar to how I would do it on the using the mod wheel on a stage3.
Thanks
Tim
Thanks
Tim

Re: Midi fader in place of control pedal
If you just want to adjust volume of the strings, I do not think that the fader would solve anything, unless you have a very complex morphing setting (e.g. morphing multiple controls in various directions). Wouldn't it be exactly the same adjusting the section volume by hand?
Maybe it is better to get used to control the pedal with your feet. You will get used to it in no time.

Re: Midi fader in place of control pedal
are you talking about a Stage 3 or an Electro? There is/are no morph support/controls on the electro.
If your just talking about controlling the section volume, you should be able to do that with the fader. To determine the correct MIDI control codes, just hook up a MIDI monitor to your Electro, adjust the section volume and see what codes are output. You should be able to use those codes with the MIDI fader to then control the Electro.

Re: Midi fader in place of control pedal
Hm.. I assumed from the signature it was a Nord Stage 3 but this is indeed the Electro forum...

Re: Midi fader in place of control pedal
Update, got one with 3 faders, sits on left side and I can control volume on all 3 sections easily with my left hand.

Hi
Please poste a picture of your 3 fader part and maybe the name and factory and the price.
Thanks.

Re: Midi fader in place of control pedal
Hi, I got it from Ebay UK, the guy does various combinations of switches and faders. Keyboard is an Electro 6 HP 73.
Very easy to program. Full instructions provided plus some vids on YouTube.
