Loud note problem

Post by Mort77 »

One particular key plays loud
No matter what patch I use
Ie DX7 or Piano
Anyone else have a similar problem?

This may be caused by dirt in the contact. If only the lower contact works, the board does not know how fast you played the key and tends to play at full volume.

If you play an organ sound, you can choose between upper and lower contacts in the menu. This may help you debug by comparing the trigger points between the faulty key and the nearby ones in either mode.

It is likely that you need to have the contacts cleaned; in some cases I guess a brush of clean air might do, but it may require a bit more work than that. There are plenty of videos and instructions on this floating around, so you may want to search for those, or maybe you're lucky to have some repair shop nearby that knows how to do this?

Just noticed the same when I was playing piano. Suddenly a few hard notes. Played further and didn't came back but now I don't play so relaxed anymore. I think I will bring it back for a repair...
