I replaced my former Roland keyboard with a Nord Electro 3. It truely has amazing organ sounds, the bosendörfer pianos that I subsituted for the factory defaults and synth sound samples are more than useable. However since update to 3.02 I noticed that my E4 key when hit plays very loud compared to other keys. It doesn't seem to be a mechanical issue since it only happens with piano and some sample sounds and never with organ sounds. I updated to 3.08, the problem persists. I circumvene the issue temporarily by shifting octaves, but surely that cannot be the idea.
Any one a suggestion ?
Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
May I ask how old your E3 is, i.e., did you buy it used or new? As for your problem, I am pretty sure it is the same issue as the one described here: http://www.norduserforum.com/nord-elect ... -t721.html

Hi, this forum seems to work well indeed. I bought the E3 new about 6 months ago. Was a showroom model but had barely been out of the box and not yet tampered with

Well so it's an in-between case, if your E3 is still under warranty (which it probably is given EU regulations), might ask your seller to fix it.
Or do-it-yourself, unless you have two left hands. But in this case any warranty will probably be voided so be sure to check.
But in any case your problem should be easily fixable. Good luck!

Re: Loud E4 key on Nord Electro 3
I just called my local distributor (Keymusic in Brussels). Otherwise a decent store but they did not seem to have a clue. Anyway, I agreed to take the E3 downtown and let them have a look. They said that if it needs to go Clavia, it might take 3 weeks (ouch, 3 weeks will show how much I am addicted to the Electro 3).
