Looping with Nord Electro 6D

Postby haytham » 26 Aug 2018, 11:44

Hello,

I just got a Nord Electro 6. My experience with it so far is very good. However, I would like to know if it is possible to create a "loop" with it...?

to create any loop with the electro you will need an external piece of equipment. i am not up on midi functionality myself, but a loop pedal (such as the boss rc series) will work with whatever you put into it (keys, guitar, vox).

You may wish to consider something like this unit or similar: https://www.boss.info/global/products/rc-202/

I personally have entire setup going through a boss loop pedal rc1 right before the speakers in the signal chain. I use it all the time at home. I don't gig with it this way but it's a great tool for practice and just having fun at home. As for onboard looping, the Delay section can go for about a second or second and a half almost indefinitely although the bottom end decays and rolls off. At $100 it's built like a tank and truly is a lot of fun.

I meant to say the delay section can create a "loop" of about a second-and-a-half.

Hello fellow Nord owner!

The 'looping' function that you want to achieve is not directly inbuilt into the NE6. If i want to loop something i use the Boss RC-3 pedal to do so.

I use this pedal on my pedal board and is really simple to set up. I would highly recommend it.

For further looping functionality, the Boss RC-30 is perfect for having better control over the looped parts of and muting and soloing different layers.

I hope this helps
