Just got an Electro 6D 73!
That's it really. Replaced my E3 73 with a 6D. Actually, I might keep the E3 to use as a lower organ manual in my home studio...

Congratulations! Interested in how better you'll find your new toy with respect to the E3.

Good choice mate - I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with all the layering and splits options. I went from an E3 to 5D and it was great - just use that one keyboard for gigs now.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

You may need to adjust the section volume settings and then save the sound again.

Just created a patch for "Tin Soldier" by the Small Faces. Sampled Grand Piano 3 with velocity disabled as a hard split below C3, with Wurly 2 and active-drawbar B3 with rotary as full-keyboard layers. Sounds great!

Re: Just got an Electro 6D 73!
Congrats on the new board!! My basic thesis is that for most keyboard folks, super hard to go wrong with Nords. Pay your money, folks, and suck it up. I also like Porsches and Mercedes, BTW. Deliver on the brand promise, I'm in.
Like you, I'm keeping my older Nords around -- they're still awesome instruments. My E3 went a while ago for decent $$$. I don't miss it, as I then bought a pair of NE4Ds, then the NS3C.
That being said, when it's time to sell, it's sort of an interesting experience. I sold a few this summer. I put them out there at a reasonable price, and -- lo and behold -- passionate keyboard nuts come out of the woodwork from great distances to buy my stuff. They drive many hours to check it out.
Sold one of my NP2s recently for a great price. It was a family with an aspiring keyboardist. The kid had chops. I spent the time to make sure it was the right board for the kid. Then there was this dude who drove 4 hours to check out my NE4D. He fell in love.
I have them all set up in a studio with great amplification and effects. We talk, they play, I play, we bond, they buy, no haggling. It's a Nord -- do you want it or not?
I don't think I'm done yet, as there's a new NP in my radar. And I'm still figuring out all the awesomeness in my NS3C. I am humbled. I buy equipment better than I am. So far, so good.
Based on my experience, hard to go wrong with Nords. I have yet to be disappointed after many years and many thousands of dollars.
As long as Nord keeps making great boards, I'm in. Take my money, please.
