This post specifically applies to recording just the Organ part over MIDI (DIN or USB) into your sequencer, in my case Logic.
We know that in Organ mode the NE4D transmits the High Trigger over MIDI as long as you switch velocity off:

These are the steps I take for playing/recording the Nord into Logic:
- First off when recording MIDI you would turn Local Off.
- Check the Nord is set to high trigger.
- Select Organ
- Put Logic into record and you are good to go.
Now I understand the difference between the NE4 and the later models. It's mono timbral so the firmware doesn't have to think about Upper/Lower parts etc. Also the NE4 won't trigger some external MIDI devices when High trigger due to it sending a zero velocity (I think?)
I can also see a problem implementing this on the NE5 because of it's fixed Upper/Lower structure. But the NE6 is more flexible, for example you can route the Organ to the Right channel which is great if you want to run through a Vent. Also when you layer the organ with the piano you clearly hear the organ note before the piano. So can't we have an option in the System menu to transmit this high trigger event. Could this be available just over MIDI din so USB just transmits the normal lower contact with note and velocity information.
So my question to the Nord programmers is:
Can the NE6D firmware be modified to provide the High Trigger functionality similar to the NE4D?
