OK. When I ordered the vent, I expected a bit of an upgrade, but OMG! This is what I've been waiting for. F'in incredible. What a difference!!! I finally got the B3 sound I've always dreamed of!!
One issue, my acoustic grand pianos sound like crap on bypass mode. Is that because they are not in stereo anymore? Would the stereo mod totally make them the way they were before? If so, what do I use for output from the NE3 into the Vent?
How do you guys have your E3 running into the Vent?
Thanks!!!

Re: Help with setting up Electro 3 and Ventilator
I don't have a Ventilator, but I might be able to help.
The NE3 has the option of routing the organ to one output and the pianos to another output. That way your organs will be processed by the Ventilator and the pianos will go straight to your amp/PA...
But if stereo is THE thing for you´that solution obviously won't rock your world...

I don't want to hijack the post but I was not aware that you could set up outputs so that organ and piano are separate. How is this done?

Your vent can easily work in stereo. Look in the manual, - open the vent an switch it. Now it´s in stereo... use a insert cable... stereo jack - right and left jacks.

Manual:
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/ ... 3.x%20(eng).pdf
page 17 - output routing. It's done in the system menu

Re: Help with setting up Electro 3 and Ventilator
I was not aware that the Vent colored the sound in bypass mode. The above output routing info is useful.
One alternative would be to use 2 amps and send one side thru the vent and the other side straight to an amp.
This might give a truer piano sound and would also be somewhat similar to using a Hammond Tone Cabinet with a Leslie when the vent si in use.
Also, there is a mono mode on the E3.
