Help! Upper Receiver KB split drops on external patch change
My Electro 5D is dropping my 2nd 'upper' MIDI'd keyboard on an external patch change. I see the midi light blinking but it is producing no sound. I have my 2nd KB / VPC1 midi'd into the NORD using the nord as a master controller with upper and lower keyboard splits. I then have Apple's Mainstage change the Nord patch as an external instrument which works. When it does I loose all of my splits for the upper (2nd) keyboard. If I change it manually with the dial after Mainstage has changed it all of my 2nd 'upper' keyboard splits produce no sound? All my patches that have splits do not produce a sound until I restart my Nord completely.

Verify with a MIDI monitor if Mainstage is sending a anything else, besides the PC, to the NE, such as for example a CC7(Volume)=0 and/or create a Mainstage visual control (fader/Knob) and map it to CC7 of the External Instrument channel strip, then try to move it to see if anything happens

Thank you maxpiano, I will try that tonight. Do you have any suggestions for a MIDI monitor I could use?
