Expression pedals and foot switches
I am a Hammond XK-2 owner who just purchased a Nord Electro 6D. I bought the Nord because the piano on the Hammond sucks. It is being shipped to me now. I still have not received it but when it gets here, I want to make sure I have a compatible expression pedal and foot switch for playing the organ. So, my question is, what is the best expression pedal and foot switch I can buy, that will work with the Nord Electro 6D? Will the Hammond pedals work? I would like to have pedals when it arrives.

Re: Expression pedals and foot switches
I use a Hammond EXP-50 with my Nords. Expensive and worth every penny. I do keep a Yamaha FC7 as a backup but I've never had to use it; the Hammond pedal hasn't failed, it works perfectly on the Nord and feels very much like the expression pedal on a console Hammond organ.

Re: Expression pedals and foot switches
I now started to use different pedals for expression and swell: Swell is a Yamaha FC7, expression tasks (like morphing FX on my Stage 3) are done with a smaller Moog EP3. The FC7 with its wide control range is sensitive but ponderous. The EP3 is less precise but more agile. Don't know what's more important on your Electro.
Stage 3 Compact (Rev.B 2.1 - OS 2.60) - Kawai VPC1 / Yamaha CP33 - Hall of Fame & NeoVent2 - Behringer Flow-8 - K&M stands 18820+18811 / 18953+18952 - Samsung tablet with MobileSheetsPro & AirTurn Duo200 - QSC K8.2s / Fischer InEars

Re: Expression pedals and foot switches
Korg XVP-20 for volume and expression, Roland DP-10 for piano feeling and Yamaha FC-5 as sustain switch. I love them all, and they seem to live forever. My FC-5 has more than 30 years on its back! I guess 1989 or 90 I bought this one.
Cheers from Germany
I may add that I use the DP-10 with my Nord and the FC-5 with my korg X50, both for sustain.

Re: Expression pedals and foot switches
I just plugged in my Hammond EXP 50 expression pedal and it does nothing. Is there something I need to do for it to work? Also, I'm used to tapping a foot switch for leslie. Is that possible and what do I need to do to get it to work?

Nevermind. I got the swell pedal to work. Now I just need to get the foot switch to work for Leslie
