Export a Program Question
Can anyone tell me how to export a program without the Sound Manager (7.52) INCLUDING sounds that are turned off? Example: Program includes a piano or rhodes when I am not using it? It makes the program bigger than needed.Thanks.

Re: Export a Program Question
The Nord Electro cannot export Programs without Nord Sound Manager (Nord Stage instead has a "Program Dump" function, but the same is not implemented on NEsj

I know you need to use sound manager. I just don't want superfluous samples included. thanks

OK, sorry I read it wrong, anyway if you export just the Program it will include no samples but just a reference to them (no harm if a section is off and sample is no longer there when reloaded), if you export as a Bundle instead it will include all samples selected in each section; NsM includes them all since they are part of the Program and NSM cannot know if you want to manually enable the disabled section later when using that Program or not.

Re: Export a Program Question
Max is correct here. Uploading program will give you the smaller file; uploading bundle will give you the complete file.
But let's say you need go the Bundle route because you require that the sample be included with the program, but want to avoid the bloat of also including a piano which is not needed for the program...best strategy will be to (before creating the bundle file) turn ON the Piano Section, change the selection to the CLAV, then turn OFF the Piano Section, store the program and create the bundle. The Clav is the smallest file in the Nord Piano libraries. Do this for ALL programs which are not actually using any pianos and which you wish to include in your bundle.
Similarly, for programs which do not need a sample, turn ON the Sample Synth section, select the smallest sample you can find, turn it back off again, store the program and create your bundle. Select the same small sample for all programs which don't need a sample and which you wish to include in your bundle.
Those steps will maximize the efficiency of your bundle files and speed up your loading process when you bring your bundle file to another instrument for loading.
