My first post:
As I am considering buying a Nord Keyboard for the first time, I would like to ask when we can expect an Electro 7 ?
(As Clavia Nord releases a new Electro every 3 years, the new Electro 7 should be actually released this year)

Re: Electro 7 - Release Date
Hi Wolfgang. To preempt all the boring answers you're about to receive, I will tell you that the Electro 7 will be released on March 3rd 2022. I don't know if this answer is right, but it's definitely more satisfying than being told that nobody here knows, or just get an Electro 6 etc etc.

Re: Electro 7 - Release Date
Actually, there's a nice prank Nord always makes on its customers.
When you buy a Nord new, you will notice that inside the box they put the release date of the next model. So you will know by how much you missed out on the new release.
For example, when I bought my Stage 2 EX in early 2017, I found a hand-written note inside the box saying:
"Congratulations for your new Nord! But if you were more patient, you could have bought a brand new Stage 3 on April 5th, 2017!"

Re: Electro 7 - Release Date
The answer is "probably not soon". Usually Nord rotates through and updates their more popular sellers before going around again. AFAIK the Piano just got its update, the Stage would go ahead of the Electro, as might the Grand. Not sure about the Wave.
Loved the bit about the note in the box. Too funny!

Re: Electro 7 - Release Date
It's a recurring question, to which there is no answer. As you pointed out, since the Electro 3, Nord's been releasing a new Electro every three years. If Nord has yet to announce the Electro 7 it's likely because we're reaching a point where, aside from some (needed) improvements to the B3 and Leslie simulations and more storage, there's isn't much to upgrade for now, hardware-wise. And considering that Nord supports older models for much longer than any other manufacturer (you can still load the latest pianos and samples on the Electro 3, save for a few exceptions), they won't release a new Electro with little to no changes.
I believe Nord's engineers are probably reworking the organ section right now, so that they can be once again competitive with Crumar and Viscount's own organs. It's the only conceivable upgrade that might convince current Electro 5 and 6 users to change their instruments sooner than planned. They might also release a C2D successor or, and that's a dream of mine, a lower manual add-on for every Electro 61 produced till now, just like Crumar did for the Mojo 61.
All that said, as cphollis noted, Nord usually revamps the Stage before the Electro. Also, the Lead 4 had been recently declared legacy whilst the A1 was released seven years ago. Therefore, Clavia's release cycle might be the following one: new double-manual organ (unlikely in my opinion but not impossible either) -> Stage 4 -> Electro 7. And, before the Stage 4 or the Electro 7, a Lead 5 or A2 might take priority in their plans. That is, I don't think the Electro 7 will be announced before late 2022 at the earliest.

Re: Electro 7 - Release Date
I think I am a bad and boring person bcs I hate (and ultimately, don't understand) those kind of questions. Did you ever see a manufacturer announcing the next release date well in advance for a product that would potentially kill the sales of the 'incumbent' equivalent product?
I would check my box to find that note
