I think they're still working on the tunnel from Europe to USA, so slow boats are the only way for us. But yes, they are on the way. I hope to have mine next week.

I talked to my sweet water rep yesterday and he told me shipping first week of June.
Weird, because 3 weeks ago it was shipping second week of May. And I had been counting days, like we all have, I'm sure.

Hi Okie,

These instruments are not shipped directly to Sweetwater, or any other dealer, from Sweden. The container first has to clear customs on the East Coast, then shipped to distributor American Music and Sound's (my employer) warehouse, unpacked, logged into our computerized inventory system, then organized into shipments to go out to the various dealers such as Sweetwater which you mentioned, then unpacked and logged into their inventory, etc. It is the nature of the supply chain.

Also, the front line dealer employees answering phones do not always have the most immediately accurate info about such details as shipping at their fingertips.

Good things come to those who wait. The wait will soon be over. Heck, I don't have mine yet, and the questions have been coming in for weeks.

I just saw on eBay that a seller in CA (gear orphanage) has two Electro 5 up for auction (#261882457740 and #251947482996). How did they get out before you even got them ??
