hi - does anyone have a killer "brass" nsmp or npno file they can share with me - Electro 4....much apprecaited!

Nobody but Nord can make a NPNO file.

NSMP files can only have a single velocity layer, which pretty much precludes the possibility of "killer" brass sounds. I think you have to pretty much settle for "decent."

Yes, +1, look for the Sledgehammer brass sound on this forum, it's made with the Baritone/horn sample from Nord and it works well....For this song.... But be aware they the recording of this song is made with a sort of Synth Brass sound, that's why it works well.... When I really want brass sound that is more "real" the ones in my XV5080, even if it's a 20 years old romplerv it's still,better than the Nord one layer samples....
For your info, I remove any Earth Wind and Fire songs in my new Dance/Funk band because after discussing on this Portal with others who play this song, the all responded that they have at least one real brass/sax/trumpet to make it acceptable...

If you have stereo amplification there are several good choices for acoustic piano sounds provided by Nord in "npno" format. If you are only using a single speaker for your amplification, I suggest the "Royal Grand" acoustic piano sound for home/solo playing. If you are playing in a rock/pop/covers band, and are using only a single speaker for amplification, and the Royal Grand may or may not "cut" through the mix in a way that works for you.

Not sure quite what you are looking for, this one is quite good for all round cover band/soul stabs etc.

I guess I misread his request, and thought it was a 2-part request, with the first part being for a killer brass sample, and the second part being for a killer acoustic piano sound.
