Elecro4 organ question

Postby eddie1261 » 01 May 2019, 14:41

I tend to use path 5.1 most of the time for my Hammond sound. Does anybody know, or is there a way I can tell myself, what the default drawbar stops are for that sound? During a song I may tweak it manually and then tap the patch 1 button to return to preset, but I would really love to know what that default is because it sounds fantastic!!

I just noticed in the sound manager software that it's called something that says all drawbars out, so that answers my question. All wide open 8s.

I duplicate drawbar settings by calling up the patch, then manipulating the drawbars one at a time until I can hear the difference, then returning the drawbar to the position where the sound is the same. A recording of one note played for a long time may be of help in comparing. Good luck.

You can dump the value of parameters as MIDI CCs using the "Send CC" function in NE4 MIDI menu

10 - Send CC
You can perform a dump of all the active Program’s parameters as MIDI Control Change messages . Press the Store button to perform the dump

and monitor the MIDI Data using a computer/tablet and a MIDI Monitor app (the mapping of parameters to MIDI CC is in the NE manual as well).
