Hi guys,

just an update on the progress. Found the torx screwdriver by buying a cheap "multi tools set". Went ahead and follow the dismantling with guides https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDMquHADdZ8.

unfortunately again with the wonderful baaad luck I'm having this week, the screwdriver set failed (the handle is not fixed properly and couldn't withstand the pressure). Cant even get the first screw unscrewed. I am going to look for a good torx set and spend some money for it. Don't want to be screwed again….

Will update once i survive this weekend without my 5D :(

Just chiming in and saying, I just got my brand new Nord (5d 73) in the mail from Amazon, and my top E key is "dead" for everything BUT the organ as well. Maybe just the velocity sensitive trigger is dead, and maybe there is another trigger for just "on off" that works, of course, for the organ.

BUT, seeing as I just bought it, I'm simply returning it *sad face* for another one.

And this is sad because I have formed this emotional bond with my Nord immediately. haha

It looks like its dynamic senzor, because i can hear wery quietly piano sound, in one touch of twenty piano plays normal. Is it dirt?

Yup it's dirt/debris/beer. It messes with the velocity triggering hence why it's quiet then suddenly loud. If it's out of warranty follow the guides linked to around this site, it's not too difficult to do.

Excuse me. I forgot to specify that with the organ sounds the key works perfectly unlike the piano sounds where it does not work at all or with a very weak sound
