Hi Everyone,
I have been playing bass guitar in bands for many years and have recently started switching to playing left hand bass on my note electro with piano or organ or whatever on the right. It sounds pretty great with the Nord Samples but I am looking for a few more options to give different tones/palettes to choose from. Anyone have any recommendations for other bass guitar samples to check out?

Re: Bass Guitar Samples
Hi DCFanatic,
have you already had a look at the nord sound library pages? If your electro is a 6, then you are here:
https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... ry-30/bass
or if it‘s a 5, then look here:
https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... ry-20/bass
Furthermore you could get nice results if you take a synth bass sound, maybe here:
https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... g-minimoog
And don‘t forget the effects section which helps from time to time with some delay or overdrive or phaser or wah wah or ... Have fun and stay healthy. Cheers

Re: Bass Guitar Samples
Yep, there are several quite serviceable samples in the Nord library -- you say you have been using the "Nord Samples", but if you haven't already, try to dig into what is there in addition to the ones pre-loaded on your Electro. Taster-Bert already shared the links
For my use (when doing LH bass), I often end up using the "Fender Prec Finger Damp", "Finger Bass Alem", "Fretless Bass MM" or the "Contra Bass Plucked" (as well as a few synth-based ones generated "on the fly" in the synth section of the stage/wave using e.g. FM).

Re: Bass Guitar Samples
I have an Electro 5 and from the Sample Synth section, I use FndJazzFinger (preamp), Contra Bass Plucked, and Fretless EBass which was a sample done by mididiot. Here's the link for it: nord-user-samples-nsmp-samples-f14/fret ... t8438.html You can mess with the EQ on them too.....Here's how mine are set: FndJazzFinger and Contra Bass Plucked - Bass = 8.8 Freq = 404 Gain = -4.5 Treb = -6.6. For the Fretless EBass - Bass = 15.0 Freq = 404 Gain = -4.5 Treb = -6.6.

Re: Bass Guitar Samples
I had been using the Nord Sample Libraries and while they were OK I found they just didn't live up to what I was used to hearing, especially on higher notes, so today I made my own sample. I recorded my Roscoe LG3005 on neck pickup through an HX STOMP modelling an Aguilar DB751 bass amplifier. It is my first time making a Nord sample so if anyone ends up using it and has feedback please let me know.
An iPhone quality recording of it is here to check out:
Enjoy!
