Are there any happy HP keyboard owners?
Hello everyone,
I understand by reading the forum that there are people who experience problems with the HP keyboards (NE3HP, NE4HP, NP2HP).
At the same time, I 'm thinking that those people who have reasons to complain about something, open a new topic to discuss it over here.
I mean that someone wouldn't have to write in the forum about a problem, unless he really had a problem!
So here come the questions...
I 'm very curious, are there any happy HP owners?
What's the percentage between people who have regret buying their HP keyboard and people who enjoy it?
Finally, is the rumour that the HP is a problematic keybed real??
Thanks!

Hi!
I was very happy with my NE3HP, but as you know, the grass is always greener ... so I upgraded to a Stage 2 HA.
No problem at all.
Would definitely recommend the HP version! Low weight, OK action/feel (and I'm an old piano student).

Re: Are there any happy HP keyboard owners?
hi costaseglezos,
I happily own an NE3HP and try to play it every day.
I jam occasionally, so I like the relatively light weight and smaller size compared to a 88-key hammer action. I can carry the keyboard in its case, my stand and my beer all at the same time.
I know issues existed with some keybeds on this model --see nord-electro-forum-f9/keybed-problems-o ... tml#p33284. I believe Nord replaced a few keybeds. I experienced this problem, but not at a level that annoyed me or required rework. The issue occurs with side-to-side movement of the keys so I don't normally cause this in my playing.
To my knowledge, no one raised the same complaint about the 4HP.
The lack of layer/split is a bit annoying at this price point, but the excellent sample library compensates.
best regards,
-pterm

Re: Are there any happy HP keyboard owners?
I'm happy with the HP key bed. I had an SW prior to this, which was very difficult to play piano on (discussed on this an other forums many times by others). I upgraded to the HP, and I find no problem playing expressively. I did have to have the key bed replaced last year (under warranty), but it's been great since then.
The HA is a better feeling keyboard, but the HP is still very playable in my opinion.

Here's one more happy owner of a 4HP! The only issue is that my wife thinks the keybed is loud when i play with headphones on...

+1, Electromin. I also have a sensitive woman who complained about that.

Happy owner of NE3HP since about mid 2011!
There's bit of noise on certain keys as described in earlier posts, but I am not wiling to part with the board even for service since it does not affect action
my circa 79' rhodes is also noisey

Re: Are there any happy HP keyboard owners?
Well, thanks to everyone for the all answers.
I own an E3SW73 and I 'm thinking to upgrade to an E4HP, but to be honest, I 'm not quite convinced by your answers to buy the instrument...
Even some of you who have a positive opinion about the HP keybed have experienced problems in the past.
I need to do some thinking...
Thanks anyway,
and if anyone else would like to share his/her opinion, please do so.

Re: Are there any happy HP keyboard owners?
I've had the HP for about 3 weeks. Trying to love it and almost there. Like any new keyboard or instrument it is taking getting used to.I go back and forth on the keyboard action. Had a Nord Electro 2 for over a decade and wanted more of a piano feel so bought the HP after long consideration. In my opinion it is certainly a better feel for piano and truly it's good enough for organ playing. As others have said if you really want to mostly play organ, it's not the way to go, though the organ sound is great. The option I am still wrestling with would be to get the Compact stage for the ability to split but again would lose the piano feel.
