Re: 2.0 update causes loud pop between program switch

Pablo reached out to me yesterday saying he wrote to HQ about this again, but asked me if I have any audio or video of this phenomenon. I don't since it happens so inconsistently. Does anyone who's dealing with this on an Electro 5 have any recording of this, or have the ability to re-create it and record it?

thanks!

Hi,

sorry, I noticed this only now. Please let me know if you need more recordings, I'd really like to get this sorted out.
The click happens when turning the program button going from slot 2 to slot 1.
In the audio file, you hear
- program 1 (organ) all effects off, 008000000 and max gain for level reference
- program 2 (Nefertiti) my default settings a couple notes
- turning the wheel from program 2 to program 1 => soft click
- switching back to 2 (no artifacts)
- some notes and turning all effects off, gain to max, some more playing
- switching 2 to 1, very loud click.
The audio is recorded in one shot, Axe FX II into Audacity at 48k. Format is 32 bit float PCM (e.g. VLC should be able to open it)

BTW one follow-up:
Even if it doesn't sound that dramatic, it sure is annoying on a PA. I was asked in today's rehearsal, WTF is that...

Same here. Electro 5D with 2.0 firmware .
I wonder if Nord plans to keep 5D users happy and provide the fix for it.

I got some great video of switching sounds and a significant loud pop that I sent over to Pablo that he sent to Sweden. Hopefully this will get sorted out soon, as it's a serious nuisance.

I checked a few days ago on this, as yet another sound man kept asking me why i was making such obnoxious clicking sounds in between songs. Apparently Sweden is on vacation again and not back until the end of the month. But... when I sent over the videos (in June) of the popping and exactly when it was happening, they were finally able to replicate it on their end (apparently it had something to do with upper/lower placement of samples, as well as the enhanced EPs). Keep your fingers crossed, cause this is really frustrating.
