Hello,
I cannot get my Nord Drum 2 to talk to my iPad mini though the lightning adapter, anyone in the same situation? or have a solution to this?
All my MIDI channel is set to match between the 2 devices. Much appreciated!!

Re: nord drum 2 with iPad mini NOT WORKING
Hi, a friend of mine had the same problem, moving from iPad2 to Air and using the lightning to 30-pin adapter with a Yamaha iMX1 Midi interface.
I remember he said that the trick is to allow iOS some time to detect the device (in your case the iRig MIDI) and start the App only after.
You can also download and use the free MidiMonitor app to check if iRig MIDI has been detected, before launching the Nord app.

Re: nord drum 2 with iPad mini NOT WORKING
Thanks maxpiano! I tried what you suggested and I am seriously thinking if the iRig MIDI is actually fried, I am going to exchange for a new unit and try it again. Will keep posted.maxpiano wrote:Hi, a friend of mine had the same problem, moving from iPad2 to Air and using the lightning to 30-pin adapter with a Yamaha iMX1 Midi interface.

Re: nord drum 2 with iPad mini NOT WORKING
It turned out that the iRig MIDI I bought was indeed a broken item, returned for a new one and it works like a charm!
