I have been drooling over a C2D for years. I got a bonus from work and was finally ready to pull the trigger.
But when I went looking it's like they've disappeared off the face of the earth. No one has any. Believe me I've looked. And I was looking at one online at like sweetwater I think just a few weeks ago.
Now when you search for one you get nothing
Are they discontinuing it? Coming out with a new model? Something else?
Thanks in advance for your time.
-Tom
Edit: I should clarify that it's not like they are just out of stock. It don't even list the instrument when you search for it on every major website. You just get like stands and bags and stuff.

Re: What happened to the C2D?
It's weird that it's obviously discontinued, and has been for quite a while (maybe a couple of years?), yet it's still among the products listed on the website. Maybe this is a good sign, indicating that they are not abandoning the organ line so they leave a "placeholder" on the website?

My opinion:
1. NORD don t leave the organ line
2. the sound is one of the best in the world
3. true hammond players don' t love the look and the case. I think that the new model will have the same engine but a flat top and a console like B3 or VISCOUNT LEGEND (....the secret of victory of Viscount)

"victory" of Viscount?
Most probably, victory of the the Electro and Stage, along with the Yamaha YC, Roland VR, Korg Continental and Hammond's various models.
Honestly, as good as the Crumar, Viscount and MAG organs may be, they are a nice of a niche of a niche of the market. I think that outside of the US (where there's a big church market), two-manual organs are a REALLY low-selling item.

Sadly I think it's true... it's almost as if organs were the keyboardist... of the keyboardists!
I think it is true as well but I also think....

...is spot on. Have any of you ever tried to find a stand that enables you to place an electric piano above a C2d (or SK2, or Mojo, or anything else where the whole of the top is controls) in a position where it is as comfortable to reach for as plonking one down on top of an A100, but all organ controls remain accessible? I have. The old Quik Lok monolith is about the only one that I've got any joy from, and that is discontinued IIRC.
That flat top on the Legend Live is GOLDEN. Along with the fact that it truly is like a truncated B3 in feel for really not much more bulk than a C2d.
Twickenham's wayward son.

That would be nice, like they did with the Grand. It's not only for aesthetics, even if a flat top undeniably looks better than a spaceship-like panel full of screens, lights, knobs and button. But it can be really useful for live playing, and I think it's making a comeback with the Nord Grand, Crumar Mojo and Seven, Viscont Legend (organ and piano) etc.
Actually I don't understand why Viscount didn't make the top of the Legend completely flat, leaving that "step" about halfway. Not only it looks awful (imho), but it denies the advantage of having the flat top in the first place.
As for an hypothetic future Nord organ, I doubt it will have the flat top because Nords are always aimed at live players, so size and weight are big concerns...it was not a coincidence that the C2D was the smallest and lightest of the two-manual clonewheels. Unless they decide to make a drastic change and go for a big wooden cabinet in the style of the Nord Grand...

Re: What happened to the C2D?
I can understand them getting out of the dual manual organ market because it's so narrow; I just wish they'd continue to support us with OS updates. I'm sure there's some tweaks they could give us... like an easier way to set up the lower manual to control an external module. V1.12 is ancient.
