Tall & Fat mono versus Stereo...With C2...

Postby Quai34 » 16 Mar 2019, 06:24

So, my first idea was:
Mono out of the C2 (or the one that is with the higher output?...) going to T&F going to Vent II and then, stereo out to TC Hall of fame....
But now they have released the T&F stereo....but in my case, what would be the benefit of buying the Stereo T&F knowing that I will have the Vent II behind it?
Then, why they released the T&F stereo? If it's to go after a Leslie Sim, that's weird, the Leslie effect is always after the Tube Preamp.....
Let me know

(BTW, the stereo version is called the Tall, Fat & Wide). One use-case for the TF&W (instead of the T&F) would be when driving it with a keyboard that provides either stereo acoustic piano, epiano or organ sounds, followed by a Vent. The Vent only uses the R/MONO input for the rotary effect, so driving it with a stereo signal will not alter the resulting output. It isn't clearly stated in the TF&W manual, but It appears that it has two separate paths of distortion; each input is paired with an output. With the Vent and TF&W enabled, an overdriven organ would be simulated. With the Vent bypassed and the TF&W enabled, the TF&W could be used to overdrive a stereo epiano sound. Both Vent and TF&W could be bypassed for an undistorted stereo signal, e.g. acoustic piano.

Ok , thanks, so, I don't plan Niow to use the tall and fat after my stage 2 so no need for the T&F W.... Maybe after the stage 3 when I will have it....
Thanks for the answer...
