I found recently that the pipe organ on the C2 it´s quite good and I want to know if some of you have sampled this organ to use in any other nord. The pipes on the electros don´t have that mellow realistic sound
I mean this pipe in particular:

Re: Sampling the pipe organ from C2D for other Nords
Since the Nord Electro and Stage use the same organ engine as C2D, it's just a matter of adjusting. Using Organ model Pipe 1, and as in the video only pulling out the 8' stop you'll get a mellow, warm pipe organ sound. To make it more realistic you can mix in a sample from Nords sample library. I prefer Organ Flute 3. Then assign either the organ engine or the sample to control pedal for nice swells.

That depends on which model Electro or Stage you have.

You're absolutely right. A more careful consulting of the Nord homepage verifies, that only the B3 model of new Electros and Stages is derived from CD2. The soft sounding Pipe 1 model was first added to NE6 and NS3. And I don't know how they actually compare to CD2's Baroque organ.

Pipe organ sounds on the Stage 3 are really horrible: they sound so artificial!

Hi there
What Akorder says here is spot on - great advice. I've done this before and as he says - mixing with synth really works - I prefer Flute 1 but its just personal preference. What does happen though is when you mix with the synth - Flute 1 or 3 - you get the pipe 'chiff' which you can hear in the video.

Totally agree. Again its down to personal preference but think that Pipe 1 sounds way better then Pipe 2

Not arguing against a preference, but Pipe 1 is a bit of a misnomer, because as stated by Clavia the so-called Pipe 1 is actually much closer to a Hammond in sound, but "without all its quirks" (keyclick, crosstalk, etc). So there can't be real comparison between the Pipe 2 (emulating more or less faithfully a pipe organ) and the Pipe 1 (a quirkless Hammond).
Yes I kinda agree that Pipe 1 does resemble a hammond........or does a hammond resemble a pipe organ? You see hammond marketed their organs back in the day to churches as a low cost alternative to wind driven pipe organs and hence emulating them. And as for Pipe 2 - emulating faithfully a pipe organ?? Well this depends on which pipe organ Clavia is using to emulate. There are thousands of pipe organ makers, using thousands of different pipe materials across the globe- not two organs sound the same. In my UK experience being a travelling church organist, I have played hundreds of British organs, that sound more akin to Pipe 1.

You're both right. My Electro 5 has emulated pipes. The B3 engine is the same as my C2. Not sure about the Vox and Farf.
