Piano Voices for Nord C2D?

Ok, understood, I Will try it next time even though I might not use it that much as I have the Stage 2 as well...but in fact, I love the way you use the Roland Jazz Scat sound, never thought it could be that good in a slow tempo (as all the demo with this sound are always fast ones)...

The only reason I have the JV1010 is because it was the cheapest module that would accept the Take 6 card. My first exposure to highly intricate voice harmony was a group named "The Singers Unlimited", led by Gene Puerling. Here's my favorite chart, released in 1972 (the 1st and 3rd choruses are traditional, the 2nd is pure genius):



Their stuff stands head and shoulders above all others, and Take 6 cites Gene Puerling as a major influence.

The C2 and presumably other Nord organs has a setting for the trigger point of the keys. Organs only require slight depression to make a sound (high trigger point) and pianos require substantial depression to make a sound (low trigger point). If you use a hardware or software midi piano module, you want to change the trigger point for the manual being used as the midi controller.

That setting only affects the internal Organ engine, the MIDI Notes are always sent with velocity so no need to change that.

If you are layering organ sounds with the midi piano you would want the low trigger point to sync up the sounds, or if you wanted consistency in the actions of the two manuals.
