The Nord C2D features a redesigned simulation of the characteristic mechanical key clicks that are an essential component of the classic tone-wheel experience. Furthermore, the redesigned percussion model offers increased control over the percussion levels when playing near-legato.

The Nord C2D also includes a redesigned Rotary Speaker simulation of a vintage 122

Curious how the leslie will turn out!

If the new leslie 122 model sounds as good as the new keycklick modelling and the other stuff they have done then I would say say we now have an 15 kg B3 in the world.

This could be the year I replace my beloved C1 with something better. Good to hear about the new leslie model. If it's good enough I can sell my ventilator. I was also hoping for a new scanner/chorus effect, which is also needed I think. Nevertheless this is good. So, Nord - we need audio and video demos, and soon! I've also been checking out the Crumar Mojo with interest.

flmc59 - have you heard the new keyclick modelling? And do you know it's still 15Kg?

Looking at the pictures the form factor is the same. I doubt if the weight has channged much
Linear pots can't add that much.
About the Leslie I can tell you when I have heard. My bet is that it will be good.

Thanks a bunch Nord for throwing your loyal Nord C2 owners completely under the bus. You haven't offered us a new version in 2 years or given us any improvements at all but instead make my 3000.00 Nord C2 organ obsolete with the C2D. You could easily offer us the ability to download the new Leslie speaker model plus the other improvements touted on your C2D. I've been a loyal customer who's owned a Nord electro, Nord electro 2, presently a Nord electro 3, had a Nord C1, and now have a Nord C2. I suppose Nord just doesn't care about its loyal customer base. Well, that's it for me. No more Nord anything. All those drawbars will do is make the C2D much more fragile as those things - all 4 sets of them - become vulnerable to breaking off like toothpicks when you're on the road.

By the way, there already is a new 35 lb B-3 in the world. It's called the Hammond SK2 and sounds better than the C2. It has an incredible number of rotary speaker models (8) all of which are extremely good. The tone wheels sound better than the C2 and the ability to modify said tone wheels is detailed, varied, and easy to access. One more thing: the action on the SK2 is infinitely better than the C2 which is total mush by comparison and does not feel like a real B-3 which I also own. Also, the SK2 (and SK1) have all those other voices ( good acoustic piano, rhodes, wurli, clav, and more) which the C2D will not have. The C2 does offer the ability to run directly from the organ to an 11 pin Leslie like the 3300 which is a great feature not present in the SK2 but, other than that, who needs the C2D which they'll make obsolete in 18 months with something else anyway. I own a Hammond SK2 in addition to my Nord C2 but that's the last Nord product I will ever buy. Thanks Nord.

I'm sorry you feel like that.
Nethertheless, the price of your C2 did not include a life time upgrade.
If I can do a joke : haven't you heard about the new Hammond SK3 due to be out soon ?

Don't worry, all the C2D owners will be irritated when the C3 comes out enabling you to use pairs of sampled organs/harmoniums from the Nord Sample range.

Sadly, it's business. If they gave it all to you now, they'd make no more money.
