The Mojo appears to be the favorite of many . The KeyB duo is also good, but costs (according to joey D 3years ago) 8500 dollars for the organ, bench, pedalls, stand, etc. it's also heavier than the other 3. I went with the C2 last october & could not be happier . I have no interest in BUYING any other clone, but i still have an interest in the developement of Clone technology. Granted, some clones have caught up with the Nord, but, then again, the Nord sounds, in some ways, better than many of the Hammonds i used to play back in the 60's, 70's & 80's . It's a matter of taste, so you should play as many of the clones as you can. As has been said before, the Nord c2 was created for convenience, plus it's sound is extraordinary . Some people think that the nord is too 'processed' sounding _ many of these people prefer the straight sound of the Hammond clones. For me, however, it's EXACTLY the 'processed' sound of the Nord that i was looking for in the other 6 clones that i had previously, & NONE of them delivered that. Reading the different forums MIGHT be helpful, but remember : it's the sound that YOU are looking that is important. The Nord has a bright sound compared to some of them : especially good for Rock or Funk, but it is equally effective for jazz , blues, funk, etc. Only YOU can decide what is best for you. Good Luck !
PLAY AS MANY OF THEM AS YOU CAN, LET YOUR EARS BE THE GUIDE ! The EAR seems closer to the HEART (yours) than the fickle opinions of others.

Write a list of what is important to you.
The order the list from most to least important.
Then select the instrument based on your prios.

For me portability plays a big factor.
And this rules out some of the clones or a real B3.

When ever I hear something that sounds "better" I remind myself about the reasons for makin the choice (nord c1/c2/c2d) in my case.
I have a XB3 - it was bought on two requirements.
Full B3 size and layout
Should cost as little as possible.
Should be possible to take to a gig
It does not fullfill the sound of a B3 but that was not on the list of reasons for bying it. Therefore I am happy with it. It fullfills the requirments set up when I bought it.

Do some thinking and structure you needs - then buy.

Btw - the c2d fullfills all of my needs exept for raw stage presence and authentic looks.
This is compromise that is easy to live with, concidering the sound and the weight.
A second hand C2 (that now can be upgraded to c2d sound) could be a option if your budget is tight.

I agree with all of the above comments and am having the same problem deciding which clonewheel to buy. Ultimately it is down to personal preference around choice of sound and your requirements around portability, price, layout etc.

Here are some of my views for what its worth:

I currently have a Hammond XK3C Pro System(2 manuals with the wooden stand),and 25 note midi pedals which is ok apart from the C3 Chorus Vibrato sound, which I have tried to get to like but can't.
Tried the KeyB Duo Mark3 and the overall sound is pleasing but somewhat "hyped". Played through a high quality PA system with 2 subs and satellite speakers, sounded huge! Don't like the leslie sim, and is expensive and bulky.
The Crumar Mojo and Hamichord MC3 sound fantastic, both are based on the VB3 software, which offers a high degree of control over the sound. They are based on a Windows PC running inside the organ, and whilst I have not heard of any stability problems, it makes me nervous about using this type of Windows PC technology in a live environment.
I am trying out the Nord C2D this weekend, and so far, in my opinion is probably the best compromise in terms of price, sound, portability, build quality, support from manufacturer etc. I am hoping that the Nord fits the bill from a sound point of view, as it would seem to tick all the other boxes for me!
Hope this helps.

I think you would be happy with either. In a recent clonewheel comparison held by members over in MUSIC PLAYER FORUM, the 3 clones tested were the Mojo, the Nord Stage 2, & the Hammond sk2. They said that sound wise, the Mojo came out on top > However, when a ventilator was hooked up to the Nord & the Hammond, all 3 were equally good in their own respective strengths : the Nord was the brightest sounding clone, & mixed extremely well other instruments. The Sk2 sounded a tad more 'authentic' (more hammond-like) but was less ballsy, & less suited for Rock/pop/funk. The essential being that all 3 were equally good when the ventilator was added. As the other members on this forum have stated, it all depends on what your needs are. As you might have seen on other forums, 'authenticity' on clones is pretty much expected in this day & age . The primary needs of the gigging player these days goes more to the portability , ui, & leslie sim emulation . Since a sizeable amount of players add the vent or a real leslie,( or a Motion sound) to their clones, the differences between the clones is less of a factor to many when it comes to how 'good' it is. Many of the clones today are moving towards perfecting the original TONEWHEEL sound of the Hammond BEYOND the basic capabilities of the Tonewheel Hammond.
