Some time ago I bought a Pro3tm.
Yesterday I spent some time and improved the speed and simulation settings and made it sound quite nice.
Today I got hold of a Lowpro and bought it.
What I did was to use the Cube 60 in addition to give me more power in the bass.
I am so pleased with the sound.
There is so much of the spoubd that is shaped by a rotating drum for the sub 800 hz information.
A simulation in a bass does not do the trick. The low pro unit made it all sound right.
I have tested the pro 3x with a leslie 110 and 120 so I know the importance of the lower drum from before.
Why Motion sound stopped making the pro3 tm + low pro is a mystery to me.
This is the combination that sounds the best and knocks down into easily transported modules.

Re: Motion Sound pro 3tm with LowPro impressions
flmc, Motion SOund isn't making anything, any more. They went out of business, suddenly and quite completely, one day a couple of weeks ago. Website, gone, phones shut off, e-mail accounts cancelled. I have looked almost everyday, and have seen nothing aboput this on the web. As far as I know (I was buying some stuff from them at the time, so I was on the phone with them) all of their retailers were advertising Motion Sound products, and waiting for their consigments to be built. Motion Sound had received circuit boards from subcontracters, and I believe they told me that they had lots of chassis at the factory waiting for these boards. I talked to them one day, called them back the next, and poof! all gone.
I'm thinking there's quite a bit of stuff, MS1771s, Pro3xs, 145s sitting in a workshop in SLC. It's also the apparent end of XP audio (Bolt and Morpheus guitar and bass amps, and effects pedals).
Poof! gone.

John Fisher hangs out in one of the Clonewheel mailing lists (probably the Clonewheel one itself) and is pretty approachable about stuff he designed, which would be the older pre-XP audio stuff. Also Speakeasy has said numerous times on the mailing lists that they're going to support all the MS stuff (for a cost, I'm sure, but they're top-notch guys)

Re: Motion Sound pro 3tm with LowPro impressions
Thanks bdodds, that would be great! I am fortunate in having a friend, who, if sufficiently coaxed, can (and already has- see "Funny Story") fix my Motion Sound stuff, but as for spare parts, especially those "modified Eminence diaphragms MS 1.2, stock diaphragms will quickly fail") or other parts, I'm stuck.
bdodds, could you give me, in case I need it, a more specific idea of what the "Clonewheel list" is? Thanks.

Certainly, the Clonewheel list is just a yahoo group now, but I use it like an old-timey email list like we used to do:

Re: Motion Sound pro 3tm with LowPro impressions
Thanks, bdodds. I just, a few minutes ago, ordered a Peavey 115D powered speaker to use as my "bottom" with my Pro-3x. Hopefully, this will be a good, and powerful combination, and as simple as possible. There's an unbalanced input to take the Pro-3x "sim" or "mix" output, and a level control. 400 watts program, 800 peak. not biamped, but x-over at 3k, which I don't even come near, since it's 800Hz and down. Should amplify any other keyboard to at least usuable volume too.
