Re: Hard Case for C-2
I love the soft case : the zip up compartment on the lid holds all my trs cables (plus extras) both the ROLAND DP2 & EV5 PEDALS(which i keep , as extras,in the bag) a couple of small mixers, the vinyl cover, mdi cables, fake books, etc. I would not recommend keeping an expensive botiique tube pre-amp in it though, at least, not the Speakeasy.) the wheels are great for the stairs. the weight DOES add up, though. I have osteoporosis in the spine from years of powerlifting, so when i put it in back of my Outback wagon, i kneel down after angling it against the bumper, & gently slide it up & in. It's still way better than dealing with 2 different manuals, cases, stands, etc. but we C2 OWNERS all know THAT !

I just barely got the thing! Now, in addition to all the wise-guys who inevitably ask "Why didn't you get a real Hammond organ?", I'll have people asking me "Why didn't you wait and get the new C2D?"
Story of my life, I tell ya'! I should have known that just as soon as I plunked down my wife's hard-earned money for a C2, Nord would bring out a new and improved model. I can just hear them at Clavia over in Sweden: "Okay, Mooser bought a C2, time to release the new model!"
I feel your pain

Re: Hard Case for C-2
Okay, used the hard case for a while: it's the way to go. I can throw it in the back seat, and throw more stuff (stand, throne, carry bag, etc.) on top of it. I can bump it against doorframes without fear, and when held in front of me, it fends off the bottles and brickbats which greet my entrance at local jam sessions.

Re: Hard Case for C-2
Although my hard-case is handy, and generally admired, and when I stand in front of the mirror holding it, I resemble the anvil salesman in "The Music Man", I am just a little bit regretful about losing the one thing which, up til now, linked me to Johnny B Goode, of guitar-in-gunny-sack fame.
Oh, he carried his Nord in a cardboard box,
With a half-dozen bagels and a slice of lox,
And although he couldn't play or set his draw-buttons too well,
You knew he was playing from the wonderful smell!
Go Mooser, go!
I think I'll start a new thread, asking the question: "If you own a C2, and cannot at this time immediately buy a C2D, is life really worth living? Is anything left except the "three R's"? (razor, rope, or revolver)" There will be links to mental-health clinics and suicide prevention hotlines, of course.
However, if there are a dozen other C2 owners with a passion for justice, a sense of what is right and decent, and definite ideas about what Nord owes it's customers, we could get together and devise a plan to show Nord what it is. We could charter a plane, fly to Sweden, and keep right on going. Ha! That'll show them!
(Note: This was posted before Nord released the C2/C2D upgrade. My opinion has changed and now I think Nord is the kindest, warmest and bravest keyboard company in the whole world.)

Re: Hard Case for C-2
I've got an EWI Tourcase 61 key that fits the C2 snug. And by snug I mean you have to take off the music rack holders to get the extra 1/4" for it to fit front to back... side to side there is enough room for my FC-7 and all the cables.
Great company in a small town in eastern Washington. Here's a link to their keyboard cases:

I will also say that I'm not affiliated with them in anyway. I live close and purchase my products from them directly. Mark and Liz run a great company, defiantly worth a check out. Message me and I'll send you some pictures of my case setup...

Re: Hard Case for C-2
Does anyone have any experience with the 61-key 'deep' Gator Case? One review online said that the case fits a Nord C1 perfectly with a little adjustment of the foam.

Okay, I took a glance at the linked ad, and that sure doesn't look like it will fit a 2-manual keyboard. And why pay $250 when half that will get an exactly fitted hard case delivered to your door from "Road Cases USA" or "Hybrid Cases". I do believe for $250 you can get an ATA grade case from them.
Now that my rig is all put together, pedals, stand, base, I hate to move it and especially, hate to leave it anywhere. I could never replace it. So I purchased a Hammond SM-2000 for $20 to use as a practice-room organ. It's an early Hammond-Suzuki digital procuct, made in Italy, I would guess, by Elka? Anyway, it's light, has drawbars, and the band loves the iterating "banjo" stop. Even has a pedal-to-great coupler, which gives a 16' great for key-bass. And had a stereo jack panel (mit MIDI, no less) on the back.
