C2D....Can the LCD display level of light be adjusted?

Post by coolbreeze »

Can the LCD display level of light be adjusted? I looked in the user's guide and it appears it can't be.

It cannot be adjusted via any user/software setting, maybe only via a trimmer on the display/panel board (if present, difficult to confirm without a schematic).

I recently installed a yellow display in a Studiologic VMK 188 instead of the old (which had become dark) bluish one.
These 16x2 displays are very cheap (3-5 euros) and are actually always connected to the device
either via SPI or via I2C with a small controller board on which there is a potentiometer for the brightness.
For someone with some soldering experience and Arduino knowledge, it's child's play to replace it if it no longer lights up properly.

Greetings and good luck :geek:
