C2 - how to adjust drawbars with a foot pedal

Hello All,

I was able to find an old C2 someone was selling. So far I really like it, but there are a couple things I don't know how to do.

First, I wanted to be able to control some of drawbars (or drawbuttons to be precise) with a foot pedal. For example, if I have drawbar #1 through 3 open already, being able to program a pedal to open drawbars #4 through 8 so you can go to fully open without having to use your hands to push buttons. I know you can do this on Stage 2 by assigning a morph to a control pedal, but the C2 doesn't haven't a control pedal slot or a morph feature. I wasn't sure if a MIDI device such as the Behringer FCB1010 could accomplish this, or maybe something like this: http://www.midisolutions.com/prodfsw.htm

Secon, I was wondering if anyone had experience using some sort of MIDI footswitch to save B3 presets or pipe organ registration. Is this possible on the C2?

While it would be cool to change drawbuttons or presets from the pedals, as far as I understand, the Nord C2/C2D isn't set up to do this. That said, if you're handy with hardware and electronics hacking, anything is possible. On the C2D, adding foot switches/stomp buttons that triggered the presets on the left side of your keyboards would be possible and not ridiculously difficult. However, you'd still need to open your keyboard and hack into the existing circuits in order to do so.

If this kind of foot control is what you really want, I'd suggest making a custom rig would be a much better option.

How about making simple program changes? Create a program for one of the empty programs using full drawbars. Then, initiate a program change via midi foot pedal to that program ??
