Spam alert! Whoop whoop!

Next week's lesson: How to tie your shoelaces. You know those long dangly bits of string that are attached to your shoes? Well, there's a reason for them...

I'm sure they'll be back with an altered chords tutorial :-)

I'm sure they won't.... ;) And I'm not sure I'd want instruction from someone who hasn't got past "major chords are happy, minor chords are sad".

But I'm weird enough to want to know what an altered chords tutorial from them would actually look like :)

Swap your V7 for a V7#5#9 and play a half dim scale over the top, starting on a half tone ... Oooo tasty. Then next time do a tritone sub and swap the V for a flat II 7. Ooooooooo somebody stop me.

It's ok - no shotgun required - I already fell off my chair trying to understand what I'd written. What's a half dim scale anyway?

Technically speaking it's the "Dimwit" scale for those more challenged beginners. In C, it's:

CCCCCCCC

so the "Half dim" is

CCCC

With careful coaching, a lucky few may be able to master the next step:

CCCCCCCD
