So.. my Stage 2EX 76 is about 10 months old now and the HP keybed has suffered from a few clicky keys for a while in the mid keyboard.
The keys have irritated me a while so eventually decided to send it back to base to be sorted before the warranty expires and the courier took it away today.
They tell me I could be upto 6 weeks without it...... Withdrawal symptoms already....

That’s pretty poor for an expensive keyboard. Did you buy it from a local store?

Re: Without the Nord :(
Yeah Gear4music at York. They couriered it back today for the warranty repair. They say they will take care of it all and if it cant be repaired within 60 days they will replace the instrument.
Most of the keys are mechanically pleasing to press, smooth solid action and bottom out with a solid softened thud. but about 8 or so keys in the middle area (probably keys most used) have started to make a really rattly clicky sound... like something plastic and rattling. The keys almost feel a little loose. So when you are playing among all the soft thuds you can hear rattling and clicking and frankly its annoying and detracts from an otherwise a great experience of playing.
Obviously live you dont really notice at all, but at home i can even hear it when i play at lower volumes through the PA and I can even hear it with the headphones on.
Hopefully they can sort it pretty quickly. Counting on you Gear4!

I don't know your situation, but I've always had a backup board when needed.
It's not needed often, but when I do need it, I need it really bad.

I think I have gear issues ....

Re: Without the Nord :(
It's a rather common thing with the HP action. I also own a Stage 2EX HP and had an Electro 3HP before that. I waited until after the warranty expired then took them apart and completely re-lubricated the action myself. It's chronicled somewhere in this forum.
I can tell you that there is nothing physically wrong with the action, but the sound is bothersome, particularly at lower volumes. Some spots are poorly lubricated, resulting in a slight tapping noise.
I hope for a quick return on your instrument.

That’s what I would do. For those who wouldn’t want to try this then it’s back to the shop.
Looks like it’s the CP4 for a while but I would have thought the turnaround would be fairly quick.

Luckily I have a CP4 too so im not without an instrument.
I usually use it to play the Nord via MIDI though... the stock CP4 samples are not as thrilling. I find them very thin and lifeless

When I purchase through a local dealer, they will loan me a board for my gigs. Have you tried asking?
