Restoring my Stage 3 Compact

Postby rylen1031 » 02 Sep 2018, 20:18

Hi, I’m new to the Nord Forum and have a question I’m hoping someone can help me with. I am trying to restore my Nord Stage 3 Compact and when I go to choose the downloaded restore zip file it brings up all the folders in the file and not the restore file needed? I have downloaded the lastest OS and Nord Sound Manager program and as well I am using Windows 10 to try and accomplish this. Any thoughts? Thank you so much in advance:)

It is Windows that automaically “unzips” it, don’t let it do it i.e. forget that Win shows its content, just choose the original .ns3b file you downloaded

Hi Maxpiano,

I have tried everything to restore and I’m not seeing that file? All I see is all the folders and a meta.xml document. I went to Nord site and downloaded the Nord Stage 3 Factory Restore RevD? Once downloaded I don’t see any nsb3 file? I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Please help. I’ve tried different folder options and everything and still no luck. I’m usually pretty good at walking myself through this, but this is proving to be rather difficultly I guess.. Ugh...

Geez, that’s annoying.

You have to set the browser to NOT automatically open “safe” files.

Alternatively, you can try to zip the entire folder package and rename it with a .ns3b ending.

Oh thank goodness!! I searched every way to set the browser to that setting and no luck. Renamed the file to .ns3b and it is restoring now. This works without issue :) Thank you so much for all your help!!
