I thought about this recently when I was editing two synth sounds going back and forth between panel A and B. It can be somewhat annoying having to monitor each parameter before slightly adjusting it or even when changing the quality of the sound whilst playing live and it reminded me of a feature for the Arturia Keylab that I had years ago. The Keylab could (with Arturia VSTs) allow you to enable a feature where moving a slider wouldn't change the parameter it was assigned to until the slider had reached the point where it represented the level of that parameter. In essence, it would move up to "grab" or "latch" (I say this because I don't remember what they called it) the parameter so that it would not create a jarring jump between where the parameter was and where the control was. This seems to me like something that could be implemented as an option via a software update to existing Nord hardware, but I don't know if that is true.
Something that could be a hurdle is if the parameter controls are somehow integrally linked to the parameters, but that to me doesn't seem right because of the monitor feature itself. This would be a super useful feature for me and I believe for many others, too. On keyboards with OLEDs they could even display the parameter being changed virtually so that the user knows where to move it to to change it.
Does anyone know if this is something that has been discussed before? (I am new to this forum)

Re: Parameter "grabbing" in a future update
Hi and welcome. Yes, it has been discussed before. You can use the search box at the top of the page to find old threads. If you find one (there is at least one related to the NL4) it is best to add to it, so the discussion does not get fragmented.
