Is there such a thing as a single sustain pedal that engages all the Nord features we want without maybe the triple? Honestly, for 99% of what I do, I only want the sustain pedal but using a single sustain doesn’t get the nice aural effects....

This is a FAQ ( should we add it there @Joannes/Moderators?) and the answer is always the same: the only alternative and proper way send the "continuous CC64" to the Nord via MIDI, from an external master or by using a programmable a MIDI FootController box (Midisolutions' or other) and connect a half damper capable sustain pedal to it, then program the box to send that continuous CC64.

As I can see, this question is already inside FAQ :?

Postby Normhart » 27 Apr 2021, 04:08

Sorry for the repetitive topic. Here’s a link to more useful information on the same subject.

and

I’ll try to do a little more research before I post next time..

Hi new to the forum - enjoying the content and info!

question for the group - i didn't buy the Nord 27 pedal for my Stage 3 - but there's a lot of references to the Swell Pedal... what am i missing? Is there a way to get a "swell pedal" without buying that $2700 rig?

THANKS

Mike

Sure it is. Yamaha FC 7 is in my opinion the best bang for the buck.

Hi,

you'll find a lot of recommendations if you search the forum for "swell pedal" or "expression pedal" - as the same type will suit for both tasks. Either into the "organ swell" or the "expression" jack. There are two or three types frequently mentioned - one of them is the aforementioned Yamaha FC-7 which I use, too.
Stage 3 Compact (Rev.B 2.1 - OS 2.60) - Kawai VPC1 / Yamaha CP33 - Hall of Fame & NeoVent2 - Behringer Flow-8 - K&M stands 18820+18811 / 18953+18952 - Samsung tablet with MobileSheetsPro & AirTurn Duo200 - QSC K8.2s / Fischer InEars
