Nord Stage 4?
It is just simple as that. When do you think will be Nord Stage 4 released or even introduced?

Between three and six years from now.

Just to clarify: I wasn’t kidding. This is typically the timeframe.
Expect a virtually identical Stage 3 EX in two to four years, with just a little more storage but not much else, and a Stage 4 between one and three years after that.

Although Nord did an unusual thing and updated the Electro from NE5 to NE6 in a much shorter schedule so who knows.
On the other hand, I certainly wouldn't be holding my breath for a stage 4, as the stage 3 is barely out the door and for all practical purposes is really only now reaching stable release. For all practical purposes everything before the latest firmware was beta, including hardware problems with the Mod/Pitch controller.
Stuff that still needs to be addressed: Polyphony Issues, Midi implementation, External Keyboard Mode, B3 Chorus/percussion/leslie control and balance, Clav filter settings, Keyboard Velocity curves, native v3 sample editor.
Hopefully now that NAMM is over Nord can dedicate more time to these remaining issues and get these updated quickly.

Nevertheless a very playable board; I've enjoyed mine since last summer, and haven't had any issue playing it live. So not for "all practical purposes" a beta
Stuff that still needs to be addressed: ... B3 Chorus ...
Isn't the B3 chorus fixed in the latest release on yours, if you're referring to the V3 problems? Or maybe it's something else I just forgot or misunderstood?

B3 chorus and percussion were fixed in 1.32 and are wonderful. Chorus sounds identical to the Stage 2, and I love the percussion now — a lovely bite to it.
Leslie control was never an issue. Balance is a little too much in favour of the horn IMO, but that may well be a deliberate decision and not something that needs addressing. The Leslie itself sounds much better than that on the Stage 2, and the current setting cuts through a band mix really well.
Clav filter settings are not going to be "fixed" — there's an LED less for settings, and that extra switch LED isn't going to magically appear in hardware from anywhere.
Keyboard velocity curves are quite possibly a deliberate decision and considered "fixed" as an improvement over the Stage 2.

Re: Nord Stage 4?
Nobody knows about velocity curve....
Only Clavia knows...if we see no update, for them it will meant no problem to fix...
and if there is a problem, they will fix it in a firmware release...
Until then, I will enjoy my Stages (2 and 3)
Regards

Actually don't know the answer to that question, as I cancelled my order when I couldn't get a straight answer as to when it would ship/arrive. I've been sitting on the sidelines keeping track of the update progression waiting for a point when the majority of the big concerns had been addressed.
its pretty close at this point and I'm mostly just waiting to be sure I don't end up with older stock since there appears to have been a modification to the pitch stick/mod wheel (I believe they are now soldering the connection).
Most of the other items listed will likely not affect me and I do expect additional refinement to address the other issues.
Even the Clav filters could be addressed as a menu option to set what filter(s) are accessible through the front panel settings.
