Re: Next 2018 Nord Product?
Yes, ditto, I was more thinking of a new lead.....I guess, as all the new features come from the stage 3, it was easier for them to implement it in the new Electro 6...and as long as they will fix/give us updates in a feature that is common in both instruments, they will update two at the same time....Smart move....
And anytime people will want to update from Electro 5, it will be used ones in the market that will compete with all the new "Stage" products from the other brands (Korg, etc...)

Re: Next 2018 Nord Product?
A surprising, yet thoroughly boring development.
I suppose it's had more to do with reducing production costs by using similar parts to that required in the other new models than in producing an Electro update for its own sake.
As a player who is perfectly willing to have to use more than one instrument in order to play more than one sound, multi-timbral capability is not a must have. You still see plenty of E2 to E4 models in headline bands, usually together with other boards in the rig.
The sample synth is still seriously undeveloped.
The organ models are still the boring 3 and still undeveloped. Not that this is Nord's particular problem - all brands are equally unadventurous.

In Wales, no one will hear you scream.

Re: Next 2018 Nord Product?
What this board does is give me serious pause for thought.
I was contemplating a 2nd hand Nord stage 2ex or stage 3 compact, but I know that I won't use the synth very much.
What I felt was missing was the attack and decay functionality for use with the samples. The Electro 6 addresses that issue for me, so it becomes a tight call between getting an electro 6 and a stage 3.
It will be very interesting to see the price comparison when the E6 comes to market.

The Electro 5 sample synth has the same attack and decay/release controls.

So.. What's after the Nord Electro 6 ?
I'm hoping a NL5 or NLA2, or a totally new Synth line from Clavia

Fair enough, I must have missed that. I'm definitely more excited by the E6 than then E5 though. I just need the right bonus £££ to make it a reality.
