New Piano sound: Soft Grand

This is the right place if your topic concerns different Nord Keyboards, you are not sure which one is the right one for you, etc.

 I don't know why they made a soft grand... rather than providing a new sampled piano like a Ravenscroft 275 or a YAMAHA CFX. :?

If you press "info" on your nord, it shows "Ya G2" - suggesting a Yamaha G2 grand.
It sounds nice and soft, something that many people desire rn.

Nord got us not one, but multiple christmas presents this year - Stage 4 v1.20, Sound Manager with nsmp3>4 conversion, and a new grand ... merry nordelius christmas y'all! :keyboard2:

According to Tony from Bonners it's a Yamaha G2 grand piano:

Maybe I'm an old curmudgeon here, but I'm getting a bit tired of felt, soft, mellow and lo-fi pianos. You only need so many. Because I don't make cinematic or vibey mood music, I need somewhere between 0-1.

Would have much preferred to see an updated Grand Lady D or a new Yamaha CFX. I certainly appreciate Nord's sentiment, but this is a piano I won't use. Hitting the "soft" EQ setting on the other pianos gets nearly the same effect.

Hi folks,

I just downloaded the Soft Grand L version to my NS4 88. The top two keys do not work (no sound), at least in my setup.

Thanks

It has been removed in the meantime from the website ;)
I believe it should arrive, all clean, in a nice little package under the Xmas tree in few days !
