Hello all!
I'm relatively new to Nord and I'm really enjoying my purchases.
Something I've been wondering is how often I can expect to see a new piano added to the piano library?
I realize there are a lot there already, however, the new XL samples are miles better than the older ones which really narrows the "usable" pianos to only a few.
Just curious if anyone knows of potential pianos for the future or how often new ones are released.
Thanks!

Re: New Piano Samples
They've generally released about one (or two) a year.

Yes, Clavia often released something as a Christmas gift. But it's not a fixed rule, so don't take it for granted.
Anyway don't underestimate the older samples: you don't necessarily need XL format, especially for live playing where the subtle nuances are easily lost.
Of course it largely depends on personal preferences, but most users agree that some old favourites like the Grand Lady D, Studio Grand 2, Black Upright and Rain Piano are still among the best and more usable choices.

Re: New Piano Samples
In my view, it would be great to have a view on the pipeline of sample releases they are planning.
Why not share that with your consumers? Maybe with that you get very useful feedback as well...
(In my perspective I would love to get more pianos that have close to perfect tuning, just like the Silver and I can never get tired of more Rhodes and Wurlitzer)
Ps: just bough a Stage3 88 after about 5 years without a nord. So happy I came back to the brand!

Maybe the size of the company is a partial reason why they've chosen to be the "Strong silent type" of manufacturer.
I find it a little strange in this day and age, with a lot of very open interaction with many manufacturers on social media.
But I guess as a company You have to choose Your path, and with the big following and exposure they have I guess this approach works for them.

I can easily see why they might not think it is a good idea:
1) You let your competitors know what you are going to release next.
2) You induce a bunch of moaners to complain about the present AND the future.

Re: New Piano Samples
I spent a day auditioning/loading pianos on these NS3's.I never really need more than one at a time in slower type passages, often use both panels to 'brighten' things up with mid tempo or fast.
Ended up with 8 grands,7 of which are XL,one is L.I pair them up on A/B panels, usually just one at a time, sometimes both.Pairing the dark and bright pianos on panels gives me a huge variety of feel and tone.Kept 3 uprights to have some 'panel' variance as well. The latest dyno EP's sound great on this V1.1(older silkscreen).I have 1.1/1.2 megs left, they're FULL!
This pairing of panels is a great feature, certain pianos work well together and complement each other.Silver adds a gloss to Imperial,White adds upper mids to Royal 3D etc.
I played the Nord Grand for 10 minutes, really wanted to be 'jonesing' for it and was dissapointed.Glad with my choice of NS3C/NS3HA88.Have also played the 76 which was awful IMO.
Having two NS3's stacked up is so powerful and almost overwhelming. The Nord Piano/Nord Grand just don't do anything for me.Either do Nord synths.Stage series is the brand savior IMO.
I love the C2D as well, some things they do right, others? Not so much IMO.
How about a Bluthner 'double strung' like Bridge Over/Hey Jude? Hey Nord, keep up the good work! Someone has to keep Yamaha developing/evolving after all......

Agreed! Despite not using those samples a lot, the concept is amazing. Would love to see the same concept applied to Rhodes.
