Hi everyone

I was was wondering if anyone is willing/able or allowed to share the Mike Patrick nmsp3 sound “ String Colliseum” from his signature sound bank? The sound bank is available for Electro6 and Stage 3 but the Electro 6 version does not contain this sample.

There is an easier way to get that sample (strange it is missing on NE6 version btw): download the NS3 bank, rename it to .zip and unzip it

Hi Maxpiano thanks for replying.

Unfortunately changing the file name didn’t do anything. The sound bank downloads as a .ns3fb Bundle. I can see it in Sound Manager but can’t go any further as it’s incompatible with my Electro 6D.

Any further advice or guidance would be gratefully appreciated.

Problem solved - partially. Using a different PC I was able to change the file extension. Must be a permissions setting on my laptop. However when I interrogate the unzipped files the string coliseum is in the .ns3F program section so it’s still not compatible.

What @maxpiano said: Download the file (it looks like you already did). The file will be called something like "Mike Patrick Signature Sound Bank.ns3fb". Use your file manager/the finder to locate the file and RENAME it to "Mike Patrick Signature Sound Bank.zip". If you don't se the ns3fb extension, you may need to change the settings in your file manager. Your file manager will probably warn you that it's a dangerous operation to rename a file extension, but in this case it is fully OK.

Now you can open it as a zip file (typically through the file manager) and locate all the sample files.

However, the "String Colliseum" is a program and NOT a sample. In order to find out what samples it uses, you would need to install it to a NS3 to find out what it references.

So the programs don't seem to be exactly the same, and it isn't as simple as finding the right sample to download on the NE6. It looks as if the NE6 contains some of the same named program, but also some additional ones.

Maybe you "just" need to buy a NS3

Hi baekgaard thanks for the information. It looks very much like I have no option other than to accept that the strings aren’t available for the NE6 and regrettably a Stage 3 is out of reach for now :sad

Hi backgaard thanks for your reply. I guess I don’t have many options left other than accepting that the sound is only available for the NS3 - unless you’re willing to sell me yours at a knockdown price
