Is it possible to listen to samples in nsmp3 format before downloading them into the Stage3? I can't find a possibility to open nsmp3 files In the Nord sample editor.

Change the sample category in Nord sound manager
When I overview the samples in the Nord sound manager listing, samples are categorisized like "bass, "wind" or "orchestra" samples. the samples I download myself have the category "misc" or "user".
I can't find a possibility to change the category of a sample. Can anyone help?

You can't, the NSE can only create new .nsmp from .wav files or load existing .nsmp file to a Nord keyboard of the supported models, so teh only way to audition an existing .nsmp is to load it into a keyboard.
About Category, in NSE when you save a new user-created .nsmp you can assign it a category (see https://www.nordkeyboards.com/support/m ... pleeditor4) but you cannot change it on an existing .nsmp

Re: Listen to samples before downloading in S3
Hello, and welcome to the Forum! Though there isn't a way to listen to a demo of an NSMP3 file using a Nord app, you'll find a lot of folks on this site take the time to provide an MP3 example of their sample or program. I understand Nord not having an app, as having a sample player available would render their library open to anyone to sample and use; a nice approach however would be for Nord Sound Manager to allow you to listen to sample files before loading after verifying a Nord instrument is connected via USB. Good luck to you!
