How to create 1 sample from 2 separate samples Stage 3

Postby Jordanmurray » 07 Aug 2021, 15:37

Hey folks,

I'm trying to create the sound for Ed Sheeran's Bad Habits. I have the right hand down as best as I can however I've had to use two samples to do so. How do I take that programme with two samples one in bank A and one in bank B and make them into a sample. From there I would create a new program and have both those samples as 1 into bank A.

Thanks for reading,
Jordan

Are these two sampled sounds ones you originally created yourself, or are they samples supplied by Nord?

If you take those two samples, one on panel A & other on panel B, set all settings as you wish, plug your Nord into sound card, record notes into sample editor and that way you will have two samples combined into one... Drawback is that those two samples are now connected together, and any effects or synth changes you make on them will affect both samples.

By sound card do you mean using an external software like logic and recording in the sound and then bouncing that sound OR can I just plug my Nord into the computer and record straight into sample editor. I'm happy for them to be connected together and then use as one sample :)

New sample editor from Clavia Nord makes possible to record directly into Sample Editor... but you can use logic or any other DAW to edit your sound further more before making sample...
But yeah, you just record from Nord keyboard what you want, and combine everything into one sample :) :D
