My half-Moon Switch is working intermittently ... maybe half the time Anybody have an idea as to the best way to discern as to whether it is the switch or the keyboard that is having the issue?
And, if it is the switch, how do I go about getting a quick repair on it? Thanks!

Re: Half-Moon Switch - NE5D
A multimeter/tester is what you need to test the half moon, just check if/how the TS, RS and TR pair of contacts of TRS jack of the HM change (open/closed) as you switch across the 3 positions.
If none of the 3 pairs changes between 2 positions of the switch then there is something wrong in the switch or maybe (most likely) just at cable level.

Thanks! I have done that, though I will revisit it more carefully. If it has an issue, do you know what my approach to repair should be?

What I would do would be first of all to open the Half Moon and visually inspect to check that the wires are still properly soldered to the switch and none is teared off; then I'd check the continuity of each wire from the switch to the respective end on the TRS jack.
If the cable is faulty I'd replace it with a new one, of course than requires resoldering the wires in the right order.

Re: Half-Moon Switch - NE5D
Okay! This is what I found: one of the metal contact the the switch makes contact with was very loose. I pressed it down a bit to make a better contact. That resulted in a meter reading to match your reply (assuming I understood it correctly). This is what I am left with as it relates to the "Rotary Speed" indicator lights upon using the HM switch:
(See attached image)
Switch to FAST = "Stop Mode" light on / "Fast" light on ... all good & normal fast Leslie response
Switch to STOP = "Stop Mode" light on / "Slow/Stop" light on ... all good & normal stop Leslie response
Switch to SLOW = ""Stop Mode" light on / "Slow/Stop" light on ... STOP MODE response
* NOTE: ROTARY SPEED buttons work flawlessly for all three Leslie Modes (without the HM switch)
(See attached image)
Switch to FAST = "Stop Mode" light on / "Fast" light on ... all good & normal fast Leslie response
Switch to STOP = "Stop Mode" light on / "Slow/Stop" light on ... all good & normal stop Leslie response
Switch to SLOW = ""Stop Mode" light on / "Slow/Stop" light on ... STOP MODE response
* NOTE: ROTARY SPEED buttons work flawlessly for all three Leslie Modes (without the HM switch)

maxpiano, could you please elaborate on the explanation?

Sure, as I said for each position of the switch you need to test the electrical continuity between each pair of the TRS contact and annotate their state.
For example (I don't own a Half moon so values are just guessed):
SLOW: TS=Open, TR=Close, RS=Closed
STOP: ...
FAST: ...
if two positions have the same combination of states it means the switch is not working properly.
However, from what you wrote above it seems the STOP is not disengaging, so I would focus on that; ensure that by manipulating the switch you didn't make it being "always closed".
PS: Have you tried to switch the Stop-mode off from the panel, while the HM is conected?

Re: Half-Moon Switch - NE5D
yes ... the panel will always override the HM switch once you press a button, until you flip the HM switch. If this thing was under $100, I'd tape a $5 bill to it and place it on the end of my driveway! I got 3 hours in this thing. But at $250, I have to give it a few more hours It's much more complicated than the wires. There are contacts all along that the levers passes thru. If NORD would share a schematic, it would help greatly!

Re: Half-Moon Switch - NE5D
Can you post a photo of the disassembled switch to understand what might be wrong?

Why you don't return the half moon switch to your dealer?...There is a guarantee on it, right?
