I check in regularly, Havent got much to say at the moment, but notice not many others have either - the forum is as dead as I have seen it for ages

If everything was answered by a search to previous posts, there wouldnt be any reason to post any new threads and the forum would die of death because noone talks to each other anymore.

Well kirsty I disagree little a instead if I may, I also hope to see "new threads" but "new" in the real sense, rather than repeating the "same old threads" + often older threads can provide a more complete answer (as in this case) because they had time to develop and get to a thorough conclusion (see the table of piano models I linked, for example).
However, I was just suggesting Gus a faster way for the future (which btw is exactly the way I myself used to find the link for him) and only after providing him the info he was looking for, nothing more nor less.

@Gambold: thanks for providing us a "life lesson about avoiding to provide life lessons"
(I am afraid you are taking it too seriously, what you name as such I much more humbly call and mean as "friendly suggestions", I prefer to leave "life lessons", which are a serious thing, to other places and times, not really a post in a music keyboards forum. )

nice to hear from you after such a long time. Hope everything is alright at your side.

I’m still happy with the forum, even if one could think it seems a bit quiet at the moment. Could as well have to do with this boring covid situation where almost nobody plays gigs. I could cry sometimes.

The other possibility that everything with the boards is alright and nobody not even has a simple question is too optimistical, isn‘t it? So I‘ll keep on reading and learning and exchanging ideas and experience and will stay curious. Hope it‘ll go on like this. Cheers

Gus1+, don't blame yourself. Takes some moments to realise that there are TWO different search fields in the top of the web pages: One for searching the current forum (left), the upper (right) for searching the whole web site.

In fact, I was slightly wrong - you may have noticed: The one search field on the left side is not for searching the active forum, but only the thread ("topic") - if I interpret the info text right (won't do research on that).

I do get what you are saying if its a detailed answer, much more efficient to share a link where it has been covered at length prior.
Anything else I just think the 'go away and search' answer comes across a little unfriendly to any newbies

You are right in that the virus situation has left many live musicians rather inactive at the moment confined to our houses playing to the walls.
Also not much happening over at Nord with new products or samples for us all to get excited about. Hopefully they will throw us something at Christmas
