I have a dumb question about this. How does one access the soft/mid/bright and dyno aspects of the enhanced EPs on an Electro (in my case, an Electro 5)? The Stage has buttons for those filters, right? Before I download them, can someone explain how to access those features on an Electro?

Simple: they are not supported on the NE5, only on Nord Stage 3, Nord Electro 6 and Nord Piano 4... see https://www.nordkeyboards.com/enhanced- ... ep-filters

You haven't read the page I linked, I mean all of it, have you?... what they released is the support for .npno v6, not the filters...

Hmmm. Maybe what I should be asking is this, then: If you can't access the filters, how are the Enhanced EPs different from (or better than) the regular EPs?

Still on the same page...

Enhanced EP collection and dedicated EP filters
Our enhanced Electric Pianos have been refined for optimal sound quality and the new L and XL versions feature additional velocity layers for extended and more detailed dynamic response.

Ok so, the right process is:
I download the new OS into the Stage 2. Then, I download the new versions, version 6 for he new EP's. Then, I load the new EP1 but if I have no more room, how I Do' it? I delete first the EP1, replace it by the new EP V6 and then, I relink all EP1 in programs with the new EP1 V6?
If yes, do I need to look at all the programs and see which ones are mixing an EP program? As I will have downloaded only EP1, this could be only the EP1 I need to relink right?
Then, I do the same with EP2 etc....
Right?

I took the plunge yesterday and successfully downloaded a few of the new EP 's ... after connecting the E6 to my computer, I downloaded from the Nord website some of the new v.6 EP's.
Then... in nord sound manager.. select the old EP to erase... then use the SUBSTITUTE command .. follow the prompts to replace the older EP with the new one.... this process ensures that all programs using that EP will have the newer version assigned.

voila !

Yeah, right, I forgot about the substitute...Thanks, I will, start with the 4 older EP's, 1 to 4 as I was really happy with the A led and the Nefertitti and they seems to have less changes with the V6.... Then, I will see where I''m at...I have a Stage 2 only, not the EX version....
Week, if I find a really cheap EX, I could switch my Stgae 2....
