Hello.
One single white key of my 3-years-old (expired warranty) Stage 2 EX Hammer Action 88 just died on me this morning.
I didn't see it coming, it was working perfectly until suddenly it doesn't. It went from no problem to completely dead just like that. Other keys remain unaffected.
What should I do ? If there is something I can do myself, I'd rather that than sending it away for God knows how long (and how much!)
I'm planning on opening it and see if there is something obvious that jumps to sight, but I thought I would gather insights and advices here first.
(Btw, did someone have to replace a whole Fatar keybed ? How much did that cost ? I suppose that would be the worst case scenario...)
Thank you all in advance.

Re: Dead key on my NS2EX HA88
Hi
I had the same problem with one note on my Stage 2 HA76.

It may have still been under warranty but I'm used to taking keyboards apart and managed to fix it.
Worth taking a look. Maybe open the hood and blow a vacuum cleaner through the action assembly.
I think from memory, the main shell hinges on the 2 bolts at the side/rear. Once removed the complete action assembly needs to be inverted to get to the key contacts.

Thank you. I'll have a look at that thread, and follow your advices ... when I get the time.
Since my problem looks similar to yours, with a little luck the solution will be as simple as that.
