Re: Bought a Stage 3
Many thanks again FZiegler
My wife had a Steinway Essex baby grand, and then we moved to a smaller property and changed it for a Steinway Boston upright. She will study your comments when she comes away from her cello practice.
Cheers

Re: Bought a Stage 3
We cannot find the Bossendorf sample on the Nord Grand. Do we have to download it?

Yes, download the .npno file of the desired size from Nord website then "download" into Nord Grand using Nord Sound Manager (if you don't have enough space you may use the "substitute" function and replace an existing grand with the Bosie)Steinway wrote:We cannot find the Bossendorf sample on the Nord Grand. Re: Bought a Stage 3
Just perusing this thread where many people helped, and it's great that your wife seems happy! I've got a Kawai ES8 which has the same piano action as your wife's Nord Grand, and I find it excellent. And there's much more flexibility of sound with the Nord.
Your wife will find that different Nord pianos have different response to dynamics, some are more, and some are less dynamic. She'll likely have fun figuring out her favorites! Cheers!

Re: Bought a Stage 3
A way to determine the original piano sampled I’ve found is to use the filenames of the sounds as a clueSteinway wrote:We cannot find the Bossendorf sample on the Nord Grand. Do we have to download it?
Here’s my best guess as to the piano models:
White Grand: Malmsjo Grand or Steinway B
Royal Grand 3D: Yamaha S6
Velvet Grand: Bluthner Model 1
Silver Grand: Kawai S-K7
Italian Grand: Fazioli
Bright Grand: Yamaha S4
Grand Imperial: Boesendorfer
Grand Lady D: Steinway Model D
Studio Grand: Yamaha C7
Studio Grand 2: Yamaha C7
Concert Grand Close: Steinway D
Concert Grand Ambient: Steinway D
